The recent installation of a Bourg PowerSquare finishing device at Vicks Digital has opened a new world of possibilities for our customers. This state of the art, inline book binding system creates a stitched book with superior quality - in short, a product with added value.

The professional appearance of square back booklets makes them the preferred choice of print buyers looking to differentiate their product. Booklets can be opened flat without damage to the spine. Square back books are easier to handle, stack, pack and store, a big advantage in inventory control. Overall bulk of a book stack is reduced by one third over conventionally stitched product.

The ability to print text and graphics on the spine of your stitched book sets square back apart from other stitching methods. This can give your books the edge when many copies are displayed near those of a competitor.

Vicks' square back system produces books from eight to 160 pages of 60# offset stock. It is a fast and cost effective alternative to perfect binding or tape binding for digitally produced titles.
